what's happening in the sewing room

Well I've shown you a couple of weeks of progress pics,
so I thought I'd show you my finished 'feeling plummy' quilt top now too

I used the 'wagon wheels' quilt pattern from Kaffe's book 'Quilts in Italy'
And for earlier details about my processes & colour decisions, etc pop back here and here

and just one more pic, with that sort of stained glass window effect . . .

Another one to join the pile waiting for basting & quilting
- and my design wall is now bare!

Linking up with Caroline from sewcanshe here
and with Em for 'moving it forward Monday' here at emsscrapbag

This is so lovely. I love the way you can put pretty colours together in a interesting, not twee, way.

The border fabric is gorgeous, Linda.
Your last photo is beautiful with the lighting from behind.

Thank you Sue. I had lots of fun mix and mismatching the fabrics for this one. If you look closely at the blocks, there are a few little patterns happening that help your eye unscramble things, hopefully :)

Absolutely lovely! Such pretty feminine colours. Love that border fabric. Another gorgeous quilt for your bed.

Delicious, like peppermint candies without the Christmas colors. I love the border fabric and think I may even have some of it, but sadly, not enough to do a border.

WOW!!! Looks like paper piecing, curved piecing and applique are having a smashing party and the quilt is an absolute beauty.

So much gorgeousness! I'm loving that floral finish up border. Ties in so nicely with the great looking blocks. You totally nailed this one!
