new year... new project... new book

It's always fun to start out the new year with a new scrappy project...

...and a new computer!
I made the big jump this week from XP  to windows 10, which all seems to be working!

...  but this is what has really kept me captivated so far this year

- my new book set in rural Sth Africa and such a good read!
Linking up to "oh scrap" over here
where you can guarantee finding lots of scrappy goodness to start the year off!

  1. That must be a VERY good book, to distract you from all that gorgeous fabric!

  2. Wonderful fabric - are any of those from Kathy Doughty? The large scale fabric with the bird looks familiar.

  3. Hi Maureen, yes my focus fabric is one of Kathy's, and I'm planning on adding in a mix of other bits & pieces.

  7. Love that fabric pull. I read that book last month too, I enjoyed, however I thought a glossary of SA words would have been helpful to us kiwis.

  9. It looks wonderful in your color palette! The most fun part is adding the triangles. They add the character to the design.
