... this is normal for you too while you sew, yes?
... still, I guess someone really needs to tidy up around here
'cos at the last count,
I was so sure I had more finished 'scrappy trips' blocks than this!

... maybe they are hiding under that messy pile on the 'design floor'?

I just found a few flat surfaces in my sewing room. I haven't see that in months! Thanks for sharing a peek of your process with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteI just think it all looks like a lot of fun! Did you find more scrappy trip blocks? I hope so!
ReplyDeleteMy cutting table looks like this. I tidied it up on Saturday morning, and by the end of Sunday was back to it's original state. I think if they stay tidy, we obviously aren't creating.
ReplyDeleteYep, my table looks a lot like yours! There were fabrics from GW all over the place, yesterday afternoon and this morning has been spent tidying!
ReplyDeleteMy crafting room never looks tidy, because while clearing up the place, I discover projects that I restart working on and the mess becomes even bigger! Love your scrappy trip around the world!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! I tend to keep my fabric messes tucked into the drawers in the sewing room, I have several drawers that look just like that.
ReplyDeleteLove your Scrappy Trips! Wish my fabric scraps were as interesting as yours.
ReplyDeleteLooks normal to me. In fact it looks rather tidy!
ReplyDeletethis looks beautiful! It could be MY scrap pile - I see LOTS of the same fabrics that I have in my stash/scrap bin, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jodi!
DeleteI’m really trying to stick to a limited colour palette with these ‘scrappy trips’ – rather than my usual all-out anything goes!
Amazing that we have similar fabrics... the browns are a new-ish fad of mine! Linda
Oh yeah! I am sure there is a floor somewhere at my house.
ReplyDeleteThings are a bit tight in my sewing room, hence my ‘design floor’ situation! Never mind, the good news is that I did find my missing pieces in the end :) Thanx for stopping by, Linda
DeleteThis is totally normal - I like to consider it an integral part of the creative process. My cutting/sewing table isn't very large and I have a habit of piling bits and pieces on the periphery to the point that it can become a challenge to sew, but somehow it all works out. Beautiful stash, and so glad that you found a few missing blocks!
ReplyDeletetotally normal - ha ha ha!!! I love how it is turning out!
ReplyDeleteVery definitely normal!! Blocks are looking great.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nuts how quickly a tidy sewing room turns into a fabric explosion. yes, very normal.
ReplyDelete... and it’s not just me making the mess now ... Evie, my 19mth granddaughter, has been playing in here too this week!
DeleteHi Linda! I don't think it's possible to create without mess. And if we have even several projects going on, then ... like hb said yesterday 'I can't understand how you can fit in here' (my sewing room). Your scrappy trips looks fantastic and this inspires me to use brown. x Teje
