Oh, I know what you mean. I have a little collection them. I worry there won't be any whole table cloths left because they have become fashionable to cut up and repurpose.
Oh, yes, I have exactly the same problem. Those old beauties beg to be showcased but they make it difficult to cut into them. I don't think I could do. I've seen several quilts cut from old handkerchiefs, embroidered dressers scarves, and/or both. They get lost amongst the other beautiful vintage fabric contemporary to the old linens. I think they somehow need a perfect showcase, but I can never decide what it is.

ReplyDeleteI have cut into tray clothes and dressing table cloths, but not a table cloth yet.
ReplyDeleteSometimes Plan Bs work out to be even better than Plan As. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI hear you. You'll know just the right time to cut up that beautiful cloth.
ReplyDeleteI'm having issues cutting up some of my fabric right now. Fear of mis-cutting.
ReplyDeleteGo on!! You CAN do it, you CAN do it (I just wanna see what you're doing!!)
