My auntbets quilt #2 is finished. Initially, I did some machine quilting to accentuate the horizontal lines and to stabilize the whole quilt. And then I spent some time in the evenings hand tying randomly with cream candlewicking yarn. It's ended up a very lovely, soft & cuddly quilt.
Thanks for stopping by, Linda

I like the Interesting structural effect given by those dark fabrics Linda, a lovely finish!
ReplyDeleteFinished already?!? Wow!
ReplyDeleteIt really does look cuddly. Enjoy! 8)
As I've written before - lovely colors, very restful. That sounds like a good plan to mix machine quilting stabilization with tying. Congratulations on another beautiful finish.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of machine quilting and tying! It looks so soft. What type of batting did you use?
ReplyDeleteYes it’s ended up much softer than a quilt that’s been more densely quilted that’s for sure. I’m working my way through leftover batting pieces, Matilda’s cotton natural.
DeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteGosh you are speedy. Wonder how machine quilting a little and hand tying would go on my Tula quilt?
ReplyDeleteIt does look very cuddly and the tied look suits it very well!
ReplyDeleteOh!
ReplyDeleteI like your quilt.
Nice work, I think.
