a great stash project I love how it turned out! My favorite quilts seem to made from a great number of stash fabrics - I rarely even buy yardage anymore but keep working from small pieces (and of course they never all get used up)
ReplyDeleteI like how the traditional block looks anything but with your cool fabric combos!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your binding choice! It's perfect for the framing the quilt and bringing out the deeper shades in the blocks. End of year feeling here too........
ReplyDeleteThe binding choice is daring, but just perfect for this fun, colourful, jump on to my sofa quilt
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish! It has that vintage vibe to it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for stars and this quilt doesn't disappoint. It is just so beautiful and happy - good for you for finishing it up.
ReplyDeleteSuch a scrumptious quilt. The inner border is so simple and effective. All it took was your courage to use it. I love how it blends with some of the colors and pops others up a couple of notches. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI adore this quilt for ever so many reasons - the fabrics, the mish-mash-y-ness of it, and the feel of the colors. WONDERFUL finish! And yes, I am working to find closure on some projects of my own. AND planning for decorating the house with a special toddler in mind.
ReplyDeleteI love your stash-mish-mash quilt! Super finish!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt, Linda. Great colour and fabric choices. Yes, I know what you mean about feeling to finish quilts because we're coming to the end of the year. I have three on the go at present.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful 'value placement', eye candy.
ReplyDeleteYour choice for binding, 'violet static diamond' is perfect.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! Love the prints, the quilting and the traditional block. Mostly I'm just ready to start a new year. 2017 has been filled with good, bad and ugly!

ReplyDeleteGosh! This is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is really, really beautiful. I love your combination of prints and colors.
ReplyDeleteI really love the striped border with the addition of those blue geese. So eye catching and it brings the whole quilt together wonderfully! Course I am a fan of borders, so they always make me think about new options.:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Audrey.
DeleteIt’s fun to see modern fabrics used up close with the classic old quilt blocks – I’m always pleasantly surprised, it does work!
This quilt is so fun to look at, Linda. I love the purple binding and the striped border. Wonderfully fun!
