I've made a start on making the 'scrappy triangle' quilt from new The Heritage Series quilts, a pattern by Penelope from Penelope Handmade. Love a simple and classic quilt like this one.
I'm using a selection of fat quarters - Wildflower Fields from Meander and Make a curated bundle that looks like a unique fabric pull from my scrappy stash.
FQ's are my favorite cut of fabric, and because I'm a scrappy quilter at heart, I’m in the habit of purchasing them more often than other cuts. I've added in a couple of other fabrics and an assortment of white low volumes from my stash to personalise my work.
Until next time, Linda
I absolutely love these fabrics, and this block! I've used this classic block in a sampler, but never thought to do a whole quilt with it - it's looking so great!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely combination of colors and prints, Linda! I love the HST design, too. I'm also a fat quarter person - it has been a good way to build my stash. Plus if I want to have something coordinated, I can find a curated bundle like you did!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty fabric. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be wonderful Linda! That is my favourite method of making HST too! Your designs and quilts continue to inspire me!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilts and love that method for HST's too. Happy Sewing!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I LOVE your HST project! The fabrics you've chosen are just dreamy for this one. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteI do love HSTs. And all your gorgeous colours look lovely together.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks, classic!. I always become confused and wonder why I haven't left a comment when I see a post and then realise I left a comment on Instagram, so you now have two comments!
