Another recent 'finish' is my Daylesford quilt. It was like following a fun wandering path as I went around and around, it's the largest log cabin I’ve ever made! I used a mix of fabrics - all from my stash - in mellow colours of peachy-pinks blues & browns with "pops" of mustard, including Outback Wife fabrics, Karen Lewis and a little bit of Liberty.
For the binding I went with a sweet itty bitty print, AGF Mayfair in Promenade Plum.
Finished size approx. 60" x 60" - a tad smaller than the original, but I'm happy. Thanks for stopping by, Linda

Whatver quilt you mak, thy always have a Kokkaquilts signature! SO lovley! The Daylesford quilt sure is a quilt that I want to make... some day!
ReplyDeleteI love how this came out--your fabric choices are so wonderful going round and round that pretty centerpiece. Nice work hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteIt turned out so pretty, nice selection of colors and prints. Those sateen backings are really nice. I bought a couple more after using the first one.
ReplyDeleteI really like the end result in this one. It is such a simple idea based around a log cabin, but looks nothing like that when you delve into it. I love the way the rounds change in pattern, size and design. It is a wonderful combination of ideas.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so pretty! It's sort of improv-y in color arrangement, and that's what I like best. I've always liked Outback Wife (miss her and her fabrics). I think you did a great job with this, even to the choice of that Ikat E2E quilting design. What a nice finish.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You have such a knack for combining the loveliest prints!
