and then there were twelve

It's quite liberating,
sewing without stopping to think about having the traditional light & dark sides!

Thanks for stopping by, Linda

  3. You know, I've never made a log cabin because I knew I wouldn 't have the patience for the light/dark thing. But this works! And I have the scraps!

  4. This one really appeals to me. And I agree about the liberating comment - I mentioned to Cathy L a few days ago that I honestly prefer the "controlled chaos" approach to being totally organized (as in following a specific pattern layout).

  5. Your quilt is looking lovely but I’ve gotta tell you — your title spooked me because I was listening to the Agatha Christie mystery “And Then There Were None” recently. Like there were 15 quilters at the bee but then 3 turned up dead, and then there were 12…. ;-). Very relieved that’s not the case! Hah! Maybe I should switch to listening to smutty romance novels while I’m quilting, since my imagination gets away with me!

  6. Yes, these are wonderful looking without the obvious dark and light sides! Love seeing Log Cabin blocks looking this good! Excellent colors!:)

  7. So fun! I mean, this is the kind of sewing/piecing that many of us love. Just sit at the machine, choose scrap fabrics at random, and think about something else. I love it! Hope you've been enjoying a good audiobook while sewing.

  8. You have been having fun, while I'm just sitting here reading face book, and quilt blogs! I need to break this habit!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave me a comment. I love to hear your thoughts.

Sadly, the spam has gotten ridiculous lately, so I will be approving comments from now on.

And, once again Blogger has made changes. If you are unable to leave a comment here on the blog, you are welcome to email me directly.

Happy sewing!
