I'm playing with multiple pretty soft colours from my stash and adding in a mix of shadowy greys for the background corners. Oh, and despite starting out thinking this would be an all-solids project, I ended up slipping in some prints along the way.
Super happy with the contrast of the pretty shades against the grey tones, have a peek at my 'checkered rose' quilt top so far ...

I love your quilt, it's so colorful! Happy stitching!
it's looking good!
Super beautiful progress! Thanks for the link to good tutorial 'checkered garden' by Ashley. Lots of fun here.
I like the few prints thrown into this one. Such pretty colors.
So colorfull, love your quilts
These blocks look lovely. You've done a great job with the colors.
Oh yes! Such a pretty combination. I've always thought solids and prints go well together. I'm thinking of my scrappy postage stamp quilt, where every other patch in each block was a solid. Solids make prints pop. Lovely work!
A soft and sweet start, I love the pale blues and gray together with the pastels.
I really love the proportions of prints to solids that you’re working with here. Somehow the end result is both fresh modern AND timeless vintage, all at once!
