New project in the works!
I have had my eye for a little while now on the free Kaffe pattern 'Cameo Snowball Quilt'
{found at FreeSpiritFabrics}
and I’m excited to finally have some time towork play with it.

I used one of Kaffe's lovely cameo panels for my starting point. The other fabrics are mainly from Anna Maria Horner's latest collection, conservatory fabrics with just a few others thrown in because I am almost incapable of sticking to one designer or range.
Here's some tentative design wall planning
. . . so keen to keep going with this, but things will have to wait for my next free time.
What's on your design wall this week?

Linking up with Cynthia for 'oh scrap' here
this week I want to get a table runner made out of the scraps that the Christmas tree skirt used, just something simple - then back to one of the quilts on the wall
ReplyDeleteOff to a beautiful start!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this pattern before so I'm keen to see you working on your new project.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine you ever staying with just one fabric range.
ReplyDeleteThis is looking like a great start. I will wait with interest to see how it develops.
Looking good, I like the new Conservatory fabrics and would never have thought of the KF as the centre, but gosh it works beautifully.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely so far! I love KF and I love Anna Maria Horner as well. Perfect together!
ReplyDeleteI have not seen those lovely cameo panels. I really like how you are framing it with those snowballs. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to quickly make a quilt with circles. Kaffe always comes in such glorious colors.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this post! I have been wanting to make a small but sweet looking doll quilt for my granddaughter. I have the same panel fabric and it will make a great start for my simple quilt! Can't wait to see what amazing thing you do with yours. I'm sure it will be much more exciting than mine. lol
ReplyDeleteI am blown away by your courage with the wild fabrics. What would Kaffe do? The snowballs really sing to me.
ReplyDeleteI think it is good to mix up different fabric ranges, it makes the quilt your own. Love that Kaffe in the centre, works so well with the AMH fabrics.
