a story of scrappy little quilts

I'm always on the lookout for ways to use my scrappy stash and the idea of 'quilt the book' has always appealed. Well, perhaps not every quilt ha-ha! I'm thinking a series of scrappy, little lap size quilts. One-a-month. This year. Maybe.

The inspiration for all this, of course, came from Jolene @blueelephantstitches. I'm a long-time follower of her blog & insta. Like many, I love her delightful vintage looking quilts and how she mixes her fabric. I have both her quilting books now, less of a 'how to' but rather more about Jolene's reflections on fabric choice & design, I dip back in for inspiration all the time.

Everyone’s stash is so different, and even while using someone's pattern/concept/photo, I figure it's so easy to change up & personalise the look of your quilt! My focus will be to try and capture some of Jolene's vintage ‘vibe’ and yet still be reflective of my stash here.
