midweek snapshot

up on the design wall...
improv tea towel WiP
still working out a plan here, more details of inspiration & progress soon, but having fun so far!

from the garden...
jamjar herbs & roses

off the bookshelf...
pondering next year's possibilities, a little EPP perhaps!

and in the post...
a fat 1/4 bundle of Greenfield Hill by Denyse Schmidt
a more traditional fabric range than some of her others,
one that evokes "afternoon teas, polite gossip, faded wallpaper" - a lucky find on Trademe!

How's your week going?

  1. A very lucky find on Trade Me. Those pink roses look beautiful, and no doubt smell divine. Is the Glorious Hexagons pattern hand pieced too?

  2. Lots of fabulous hexagon ideas there! (I keep telling myself I'm not starting a hexie project, but I just bought a set of hexie templates and I've got fabrics in mind, so I know it's only a matter of time...) I'll enjoy seeing what you do with hexies!

  3. Your week looks like it is going fine and dandy :-) Gorgeous fabrics and tempting books!

  4. Well your week looks to be going great - mine is too really but a bit messy! I see you have the Glorious Hexagons and that fantastic book which I've looked at so many times! I was concerned about the size of the hexies but do need handwork for next year.! Perhaps!!

  5. The Improve Tea Towel project is looking so pretty, love those colors.

  6. Always wonderful things to see here, fun projects, beautiful flowers and pretty fabrics. I love that range of DS. I made a quilt top with it but it's sitting in the pile of quilt tops waiting to be quilted.
