- a yummy mix of Tilda, Emma Newman, a Japanese pink floral, a random check
& Kaffe multi-coloured floral
While the actual pattern calls for alternating blocks in a consistent solid,
I'm using a selection of old and new(ish) fabrics mixed in with a few faded soft Tilda prints. It's colourful and occasionally muted at the same time, with lots of blues & toasty browns, dusty pinks, olive greens, rusty oranges, and warm creams. And just a rogue 'pop' of Lori Holt's cherry red.
My focus is to try and capture some of that vintage vibe and yet still be reflective of my stash here. I'm repeating some fabrics and also adding in a few solids too, as a little contrast to my busy florals.
I'm still on the fence regarding the alternating solid blocks. Overall, I want my blocks to be mostly print focused and to feel just a little chaotic (in a good way).
