First up today, here's a little peek at what I've been busy doing . . .
I've been adding a few more blocks to my pastel version of 'candied hexagons'.
Lots of fun making lots of little scrappy fabric decisions with these little 6" hexis.
And I'm really enjoying up cycling my family embroideries.
Must admit, making that very first cut into the vintage doilies was the hardest,
the rest was easy.

It's a great project to add a few little blocks to now and then,
especially when I need a break from the more labour intensive projects.

Yes Maureen's coins are pretty impressive. As are your creative ways of using some vintage linens.
I love the EPP work, especially how you are using up the older embroidered work. Your Chinese Coins are more interesting than the traditional way of piecing chinese coins.
Those bits of vintage are just perfect!
Great way to use those embroideries though I'd find it hard to cut them up too! Thanks for linking up to #scraptastictuesday!
I like how you are cutting the doiles so that you get that lovely sweep of lace edging against another fabric. Very effective.
Beautiful version of 'candied hexagons' and you're using family embroideries, gorgeous with color and texture, I'm in love with it.

Thanks Kaja. Yes, I didn’t want to waste all the doily lace edgings after I’d chopped them up! They add another pretty element don’t they?
Candied Hexagons are real beauties and your idea of using family embroideries makes these hexies extra special.
