Lately, I've been faffing around, jumping from one thing to another! I've cut out four more bouquets and put them up on the design wall too, (that's eight blocks now!). I'm combining ideas & inspiration from a few places for my bouquet blocks, using an old 12" block pattern but am still unsure of any setting decisions yet.
This soft, dusty palette feels like quite a departure for me, but sometimes it's nice to venture off on a tangent. And not really being a 'purple person', I was surprised by how much I love these pale colours teamed up with the warm purple florals in this recent Tilda collection.
This quilt was made using some Outback Wife leftover fabrics, a mix of vintage, and a few AMH fabrics. I had it quilted by Leeanne from quiltmekiwi in an all-over pattern called 'water drops'. Finished quilt measures 1.91m x 1.91m.
And, I also had a change of heart about the inset triangle borders for my scrappy 'pinwheels on point' quilt. It's my version of the bonbonerie quilt pattern by Christine - with a few variations.
It's a simple sew, and, determined to stick to only shopping- my- stash, I began adding a teal floral for my setting triangles. However, the more I looked at it, the more I felt that particular fabric really overpowered my light & breezy pinwheels.

Really nice blocks. I'm new to Tilda fabrics - ran across them last week in a little shop and snatched up a few pieces. The quilt on your bed is fantastic. I hope you enjoy every minute of binding it!
You're not the only one who jumps from one project to another these days! It's fun to see a peek at several of yours. I love the color palette of your bouquet blocks, and also that you had the perfect choice in your stash for the pinwheel setting triangles!
There is a lot to keep you busy there Linda! I have a Nosegay pattern in Material Obsession One by Sarah Fielke, which might be the one I use! I hate having to buy a pattern when I have a version somewhere. Although that one seems to be handpieced. And what an interesting pile of books you have- they would keep me going to some time!

I absolutely love the visual "feel" of your quilts - with that amazing quilted texture on beautiful fabrics, you have multiple win-win things happening.
You will certainly be kept busy with all those quilts and books and no doubt other ideas swirling in your head. Tilda fabrics seem to be more restful shades of colours I find.
Congrats on your beautiful quilt finish! I love that polka dot Kaffe fabric for your setting triangles. I find his prints to be especially stretchy and unstable, so I've learned to starch the bejesus out of them before I cut into them. But they are so lovely that they are worth the extra trouble!
Faffing around is exactly what this pandemic season has caused to happen in my sewing room too! Like in the movie "Up," it's that proverbial squirrel. :-) I've listened to dozens of audiobooks in the past months, and haven't read any of the titles in your stack. You must let us know if you have any recommendations. Your Esplanade quilt is lovely with such a nice variety of fabrics. Looks like you'll be enjoying that one right away. Keep on makin'!
Love the soft, muted palette in your basket blocks - like kissed by a cloud. I believe faffing is a good idea - I am doing that right now between projects, thinking what to start next, while the cookies are in the oven. Hmmmm... the smell of baking really enhance my faffing :-)

Linda I was sure I had written a few words here but obviously I am imagining things maybe the comment just didn't go through, I have heard of some bloggers not receiving with an embedded version. However, on to your lovely collection and I love the look of the Tilda fabrics in your first four blocks, very soft and soothing. Your pinwheels have a smashing old fashioned look and don't Kaffe spots go so well with any other fabrics or pattern.
