For my backing, I chose a quilt top I already had here in the wardrobe, my soft 'floating log cabins' in lots of lights with accents in plum. I did have to add wide borders to the backing, to facilitate loading onto Marita's (from quilters anonymous) long arm quilting machine. I chose a simple panto that looks like the natural randomness of ripple-type stitches.
And my binding was a two-tone muted pink print, Field Cloth "briar' by Sew Kind of Wonderful. It works nicely for both back & front.

Volvo is a beautiful quilt, such lovely colors! The backing was a good way to use an unfinished quilt. Happy stitching!
I love the shapes you put together
That was a perfect quilt top to use for backing and that is one of my favorite quilting patterns, not distracting from the pieced pattern. I just bought the die for that pattern at a greatly reduced price so I'm hoping to make one soon.
Stunning and I love the quilting design you went with! I have been collected soft colours for this with a few brighter ones here and there. Exciting backing idea - use either side - a winner.
A lovely finish with delightful binding. I always enjoy seeing a second quilt top used as a backing!
Using that log cabin for the back is brilliant and gives me an idea about a few quilt tops languishing on my shelves
Your quilt back is the perfect complement to the front, and a lovely way to make use of both "tops".
Such a lovely qullt, Linda! Your curved piecing and matching points are exquisite! Very beautifully accomplished. I'm happy for you to have a quilt finish. Those are rare in my tiny corner of the world. Keep enjoying sewing! And have a blessed Easter.
Iced Volvo is lovely; I like that it’s made from triangle units, too. A bit different. Great idea to put a second quilt on the back. Your log cabin works so well with the many light values. What a treat to see when someone snuggles in it.
so good! great choices all around. wonderful finish.
