one punchy palette!

Loving the mix of *scrap sewing & this super punchy palette. It all ended up working well together
- the lights & brights, with cool and warm tones - a bit of everything really.
Joining up went fairly smoothly too, but I must confess - a few pins may not have survived the process (wink wink).

*Inspiration for this quilt & palette came from Jolene's new book 'scrap quilt diary'. I'm finding Jolene’s quilts so inspiring, and as everyone’s stash is so different, the results are very much unique. There may be more in my future.
I used the 'vintage diamonds' quilt pattern @theowlhutch
My quilt measurements 66" x 52", a little smaller than the pattern.

Your quilt is beautiful!! I love the color palette (especially inclusion of the gold). I'm a sucker for a diamond pattern too. You ticked all the boxes for me. Love it!!

I wasn't sure about the bold colors when you posted the first photos but it really is striking now that it is all together.

Love this so much! There's just something about the colors with the pattern that really gets me. Wish I didn't shy away from these diamonds shapes like I do. They are just lovely like this!

This is so original and unexpected and reminds me of strings of beads hanging in a doorway. So pretty in the sunshine.

These diamonds are gorgeous. You always put together wonderful fabric combinations. Your colours are ones I wouldn't think to choose, yet I see how well they work. I will have to play more with my colour selection.
