This week I have a favourite fabric to share . . . and there's a little 'quilty' story behind this. Not too long ago Maryse from 'marysemakesthings' put out an sos for large floral Kaffes. She is in the middle of making Kaffe's 'Seed Paquet Quilt', which is full of beautiful big blooms. I rummaged through my older Kaffes and popped a handful in the post for her. As a thank you, she gave me a suprise gift voucher from Material Obsession. So sweet, and I spent it wisely as you can see . . .
. . . on a 1/2 metre of Amy Butler's 'Double Fault Floral' in this stunning colour called Cherry, part of her latest 'Splendor' Collection.
I'm thinking maybe a little improv?
. . . love to hear what you would do with a little bit of 'splendor' in your stash too
Linking up with Esther for 'WOW = WiPs on Wednesdays' here
pop over to see what everyone else is doing

If I had those fabrics, I'd give them to you and watch what you do with them. Since you already have them, I'll just wait quietly by my computer, checking your blog with great anticipation! 8)
Gosh that large floral is beautiful - modern yet vintage at the same time. I am sure some would be fussy cut, maybe a skirt if I had enough. Have fun. I got some lovely AMH/DS fabrics I didn't have from her.
That is beautiful and looks like the perfect fabric for you!
oh! those fabrics are SOO juicy!!! exciting!
That was very kind of you both to send me some "blooms" for my Seed Paquet quilt; I think of you and Julie every time I look at my quilt. :-)
Yes that fabric certainly got that ‘wow’ factor, hasn’t it?
I’m sure there would be lots more fabric swopping & sharing happening if the postage wasn’t quite so high.
Perfect fabric for you. Just your style.
I suspect Splendor would be a top candidate for the backing of a quilt - to show off its beautiful complexity. BUT I could also see it fussy cut or even randomly cut as part of a scrappy mix. Yes, I think you chose very wisely.
Very bright and fun! I love those large prints, but must admit I never know what to do with them.
What a stunning fabric! Good choice, girl!
