fun with fabric

Having lots of fun
 making lots of little fabric decisions . . .

and seven more to add to the design wall . . .

There's a lovely mix now of stars, hexagons, triangles and tumbling blocks
all in pretty prints and pieces cut from my vintage doilies and hankies

{For more details about my inspiration and progress see back here, here and here}

Linking up with Cynthia for 'oh scrap' here
and with Em for 'moving it forward' over here

I love your inclusion of embroidered pieces! I've been collecting some of these and will use them someday too. Thank you for the inspiration!

I love dots and florals, and using embroidered pieces is fun (I do it too)! They look glorious together.

Thanks Karen. Just looking at it all up on the design wall now as I read emails. I think I need to bring in a few small bits of something darker just to add some contrast & keep things interesting.

Looking good - perfectly captures your bright, yet vintage scrappy style.

Beautiful - such a good way to use the vintage hankies that are not really good for anything except fondling.

These are beautiful Linda; such a good use of the vintage linen - it's lovely seeing it grow!
