Simple shapes, random colour surprises

a great stash project I love how it turned out! My favorite quilts seem to made from a great number of stash fabrics - I rarely even buy yardage anymore but keep working from small pieces (and of course they never all get used up)
I like how the traditional block looks anything but with your cool fabric combos!
LOVE your binding choice! It's perfect for the framing the quilt and bringing out the deeper shades in the blocks. End of year feeling here too........
The binding choice is daring, but just perfect for this fun, colourful, jump on to my sofa quilt
Beautiful finish! It has that vintage vibe to it.
I'm a sucker for stars and this quilt doesn't disappoint. It is just so beautiful and happy - good for you for finishing it up.
Such a scrumptious quilt. The inner border is so simple and effective. All it took was your courage to use it. I love how it blends with some of the colors and pops others up a couple of notches. Congratulations.
I adore this quilt for ever so many reasons - the fabrics, the mish-mash-y-ness of it, and the feel of the colors. WONDERFUL finish! And yes, I am working to find closure on some projects of my own. AND planning for decorating the house with a special toddler in mind.
I love your stash-mish-mash quilt! Super finish!
I love your quilt, Linda. Great colour and fabric choices. Yes, I know what you mean about feeling to finish quilts because we're coming to the end of the year. I have three on the go at present.
Beautiful 'value placement', eye candy.
Your choice for binding, 'violet static diamond' is perfect.
Gosh, Linda, this turned out beautifully! I can't believe it's done already! Congrats on staying focused. :D
Super Linda - love the Marquee stripe!!
What a downright fantastic finish - congratulations!
What an awesome quilt, love everything about it.
Every time you show one of your quilts, I think "oh, this is my favorite!" But this one, this one right here, THIS one is my favorite!
Floribunda is really beautiful, Linda! I love all the color - so much to look at. I know what you mean about wanting some finishes - I have one that's nagging at me, too!
What a beauty! Love the prints, the quilting and the traditional block. Mostly I'm just ready to start a new year. 2017 has been filled with good, bad and ugly!
Gorgeous! I am in love with this one. It is so inviting and full of charm. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
I think this would be one of my favourite quilts you have made - florals, starts, scrappy - just beautiful
I'm going to jump onto the bandwagon and agree with all the other commenters: this one is such a winner! Love all the florals and scrappy surprises :)
I am just so impressed with your work..
Wonderful finish and lovely fabrics.
Beautiful finish!! It's fresh and entertaining with many the fabric surprises. Love it!
I love Floribunda and it's wonderful and fun to see all of the fabrics in the quilt. You do mish mash well. The stripe inner border is just perfect.
I wouldn't have known it was a mish-mash of fabrics if you hadn't mentioned it. They blend so well and have made a simple block look elegant. Congrats on the gorgeous finish.
Gosh! This is beautiful!
This is really, really beautiful. I love your combination of prints and colors.
I really love the striped border with the addition of those blue geese. So eye catching and it brings the whole quilt together wonderfully! Course I am a fan of borders, so they always make me think about new options.:)
This quilt is so fun to look at, Linda. I love the purple binding and the striped border. Wonderfully fun!
Thanks Audrey.
It’s fun to see modern fabrics used up close with the classic old quilt blocks – I’m always pleasantly surprised, it does work!
Lovely 'mish mash' of fabrics Linda - and a gorgeous finish. Both your border and binding are great choices. PLUS beautiful photography!! Yes, I have the urge to get some finishing done so more starting can happen NEXT year!
Really really pretty, such a scrappy feel to it; looks lovely.
Love this quilt! So fun, I am going to make one.
What a wonderful quilt! And thanks for the idea of a border. I have a quilt that I have not been able to visualize a border for and the minute I saw yours, I knew what it needed.
What a great quilt. So scrappy and then that funky sashing coming out of nowhere. Love it!
