I finally sourced the binding fabric for my peachy quilt & it arrived the other day!
I spent one evening this week sewing it on and now the quilt has gone to it's new home...

I found the pattern in an old NZ Quilter magazine,
combining large & small squares, 9 patches, four patches, and stars.
This was a little exercise for me, trying to just work with a limited colour palette!
I used lots of peachy themed prints, including
a few vibrant Kaffes, mixed up with an oriental fabric, and others from my pre-modern stash!

It was machine quilted by Annette,Wild Cotton.
Finished size 140cms x 170cms.

Beautiful finish Linda ! Your quilt looks really warm and inviting - sort of Jen Kingwell before steroids. I understand about the 'exercise'. The quilt I am working on was an 'exercise' of sorts. The fabric shop that is closest to me (35 miles) is a chain store, multi purpose kind. They do carry some quilting cottons but don't carry collections of fabric or any of the big designer names. So I challenged myself to find a number of go-togethers within their limited selection. Thanks for your comment on my blog.

Lovely quilt! It reminds me of a "blended" quilt which I have a magazine with some patterns of. I made one but didn't quite get the 'blendedness' right. Yours is so pretty!!! As for the song you dance to, I can't believe that I listened to that yesterday at work off YouTube. Was looking for some good office music and stumbled upon that. Not sure if I ever heard it before, but now two days in a row! What kind of dance class are you in?
Thank you Jodi! I love the music too. It's sort of ballet, but more contemporary, easy low impact. We are all of a certain age (!!) learning to use our bodies with ease and (re)discover the joy of movement! a lot of fun!

Thank you! I'm trying to use as many fabrics from here at home as I can in my projects, mixing up reproduction, brights, geometrics, florals, etc. But I find sometimes those bigger Kaffe florals are harder to combine, so narrowing it down to one colour range helped this time! Thanx for stopping by.
