Making more blocks today.
This one is a real favourite project at the moment with all it's scrappy goodness.
I'm using a mix of light and dark fabrics,
with a few mediums thrown in to give more of a blended, softer look.
I spent a bit of time faffing about getting a balance of colours, making sure all the greys are spread out.
It all looks great when I stand back a bit, but it's hard to capture that in a photo!
So yes, I'm definitely on 'team scrappy', are you too?

Love, love, love scrappy
This is coming along very nicely.
Love scrappy!
Definitely love scrappy! I like how you've added those mediums.
Yes for team scrappy--especially for your team :-)
Oh yes! That's a wonderful design, Linda! It's amazing what you can do with HSRs and 4 patches.
Of course! Scrappy quilts are the best!
It looks great! Love scrappy!
Given the amount of scraps I have accumulated over the years I definitely should be sewing up more scrappy quilts! Your latest quilt here is coming along beautifully.
Team scrappy! Yes scrappy is improv at its best, that making do spirit.
HSTs and Four Patch blocks are fav.s of mine too.
Scrappy always gives great results. Though if I was making this, I'd have to be cutting into stashed fabric to get those "large" pieces. Quite literally, my scraps are small. Still, I've been digging into mine too, these past couple days. I see another Amanda Jean Nyberg "Scrap Vortex" quilt in my future. Keep having fun!
What a fun way to use your scraps. Delightful.
It's harder to make a really good scrappy quilt than people think, but you have the knack. This is looking great.
Linda, this scrappy quilt is so fabulous. You are tempting me to abandon the deadline projects I'm working on and dive into my scrap bins with reckless abandon! :-)
When this is finished and quilted, it will be a real stunner!
