Stars Upon Stars WiP:
- Digging deep in my stash of early fabrics to get that vintage feeling, putting all sorts together, including shirting fabric, old reproduction fabrics, a little Liberty, leftovers from a vintage sheet, and lots of other scraps.
- Machine pieced, 14 more wonky stars to go.
- Pattern from Jolene's book "a year of quilts" and there's a free wonky star pattern on her blog @blueelephantstitches, thanks for sharing, Jolene.

So cute. I printed off her wonky star pattern and made one so far to use in the sky of a tiny house quilt . I plan on making more for a quilt of their own.

What size are your wonky star blocks. I could not find the tutorial. Just looking for final block size.

Jolene’s pattern - which you can get for free up if you click on her R)hand sidebar, “follow my blog and get this free pattern” – is very easy.
Cut 3 ½” squares for the backgrounds and 3” for the stars. The blocks finish at 9 ½”.

What a great daily challenge! A wonky star a day is more doable (I'd think) than precisely piecing a star a day. And your color palette is so fun! Actually, I think I like it so much because it's similar to the colors I'm using to piece 152 blocks (who's counting, right?!) for my Glitter quilt. I'm happy to see you're having fun with this.
