'pinksquared' {a finished quilt top}

On the spur of the moment
I decided to follow along with Amanda Jean's #junequiltqal over here at crazymomquilts,

Such a fun easy quiltalong
I hope this quilt will inspire you to cut through some of your own stash too
Linking up with Amanda Jean here for 'finish it up friday'
and with Cynthia for 'oh scrap' here

My 'pinksquared' quilt top measures about 130cms x 175cms or so. I decided to use a limited colour palette, featuring Les Fleurs rose tapestry, rifle paper for Cotton & Steel for the larger squares and a cute fabric from Andover Fabrics, Lizzy House for the smaller filler squares. I added in lots of low volume basics like spots & stripes & florals in a variety of scale.
There were also a few special novelty prints along with a few suprise contrasting 'pops' of colour to add some movement. All ready now for basting & quilting.

a bit more # 63
Just to give you all the heads up -
Julie & I have decided to post 'Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE' linkups every fortnight now
Maybe see you back here Wednesday 5 July for the next one

A very pretty pink quilt. The main squares are a lovely shade of pink and all your other fabrics work so well with them. Love the little pops of whimsical novelty fabrics.

Beautiful! I had hoped to join Crazy Mom's quilt along, but no time for now. Perhaps I will make this quilt sometime soon. I love your version!

I love this quilt, those novelty prints you added really do make the quilt sparkle; I'm in love with the Little Red Riding Hood print. I started mine last night, making those strip patches are addicting and come together pretty fast.

This is a delightful quilt, Linda. Just beautiful! Please tell me about the bee fabric. It's too fun. Do you know what company made it?

Oh I love this! The perfect contrast to my blue one, hehe. Such a sweet little quilt deserves many more pretty words, but I'll just ask instead, did you remember to hashtag #junequiltQAL? I bet AmandaJean will want to see this one!
