1/4 log cabin {a finished top}

I've made some good progress on my scrappy AMH 1/4 log cabin quilt this week. I wanted it to be a good practical size, so I decided to make 10 more 13" x 13" blocks rather than simply adding a border. Thanx to everyone for the great advice here! So once a little bit more fabric had arrived for those corner squares, I set to sewing up more blocks from my fabric scraps. At our sewing day on Saturday I made the last few blocks, today I finished sewing the quilt top together, and I love it! Linking up with 'Oh Scrap' here

a bit more # 27
I see Rita from red pepper quilts has been busy with these 1/4 log cabins too
she's making 6 3/4" blocks
and has posted a great tutorial if you are interested!

Absolutely the right decision to add more blocks and not a border. Turned out beautifully!

Looks like it would be a perfect table cloth for summery outdoor lunches and dinners.
So bright and cheerful.
