I chose from a selection of old tablecloths, tea tray sets & doilies from my mum & Mr D's mum. Once Aunty Freda saw what I was making she wanted to add a couple too! We spent a lovely afternoon together going through all her own special collection.

It is always hard to make that first cut in vintage linens, but so nice to see them used. What a pretty quilt.
Thank you! Yes, I think A. Freda was a bit shocked that I was actually going to cut them up! Will take the finished quilt out to show her this week.
Oh yes, I imagine I couldn't easily cut into the vintage linens, but it is great to see them being used. What a special quilt :-)
